Weekend weather

Here are the key messages for our area regarding the interaction of tropical moisture from Nicole and another weather system approaching from the west. 

1.      Very windy conditions are likely Friday afternoon into Friday night.  Windy conditions are again expected for Saturday, but maximum wind gusts at that time should be less than 35 mph.

2.      Rain is expected Friday into Friday night.  Rain amounts are forecast to be 0.5 to 2.0 inches with locally higher amounts (see the attached map).  Flooding is possible mainly in areas of poor drainage, especially in light of the leaves and other debris blocking storm drains.
