Borough of Mantoloking Garbage and Recycling Updates

Safety Alert:  Please ensure that the path from the street to your “backdoor” is clear of debris, snow, and ice on collection days.  This is to ensure the safety of the Republic Service’s Waste Collectors that service our borough.  If in doubt, please move your cans to the curb prior to 6 AM on collection day. 

Industry Trends:  According to Republic Services, the industry is moving away from Backdoor Service and because of a combination of factors, overall costs are increasing at an exponential rate.  According to our contract with Republic Services, we have one last renewal year bringing us through September 2025.  So while we have “some” time to determine the best course for the Borough, we  recognize the need to explore different service options going forward in order to best manage cost.  We will inform the public as this exploration progresses.
